Animation movies are almost always a fun watch. Kung fu Panda is a story about a panda with the name Po. Po is a lazy and runs a small noodle shop and is fond of the sport Kung fu. Po is fascinated to such an extent that he doesn’t give much time to the running and profit making at his shop. Po is bored of his monotonous lifestyle, but his life suddenly takes a sudden turn when he comes to know that its him that one an ancient prophecy refers to.
According to the prophecy, ‘The Dragon Warrior’ (which according to the prophecy is Po) will save the Valley of Peace from threats. Po enters into the world of Kung fu to get a close feel of his fantasies. By doing so he gets a chance to meet and team up with his idols, the Furious Five, including Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Mantis(Seth Rogan), Crane (David Cross), Monkey (Jackie Chan) and Viper(Lucy Liu). Po starts off with his training under Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman), who also trained the furious five. Furious five are not much pleased with the presence of Po at the academy.

The threat mentioned in the prophecy actually comes from Tai Lung (Ian McShane). Tai Lung is a snow leopard that was trained for good by Master Shifu that over a period of time became a threat for his trainer. Master Shifu truly believes that one fine day Po will master the skills of Kung fu and beat Tai Lung and starts off with the transforming training of Po towards ‘The Dragon Warrior’.
Grasping storyline, witty humour and interesting plot are some elements of the movie that succeed at keeping the viewers glued to the screen. The overwhelming response received by Kung fu Panda at the 61st Cannes Film Festival was clearly evident which was followed by the release of this movie over the rest of the world.
