Three Rivers was a television series featured by the CBS network. It aired weekly, on Sundays, for one hour. Three Rivers only ran for a year before getting cancelled. The set of the drama was in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and premised upon the events of a hospital. Alex O’Loughlin, who can now be seen in movies, played the lead character of Dr. Andy Yablonski. Dr. Yablonski was a surgeon of considerable fame.

After this show had went gone on-air for about 1 year it had been unexpectedly yanked off and then there had been news about it ever returning for the longest time. But, CBS January 2010 had told the media this show had been cancelled and never will be aired again.

The TV show which was moderately popular among the people told the stories of organ donors and the lives of various hospital personnel who deal with the life and death of several patients each day. The show has a lot of emotionally touching moments when dealing with patients who need organ transplants and also the circumstances under which people donate their organs.

Leading the team of doctors and nurses at the organ transplant is the patient and witty doctor Andy Yablonski who by nature is a pure workaholic. Alex O’Louglin who plays this lead role is currently acting in movies.

In addition to Dr. Yablonski, the series also featured a character named Dr. Miranda Foster. She was an expert in surgery with an explosive temper. Her goal was to honor the reputation established by her late father’s medical work. Katherine Moennig played the role of Dr. Foster. Other characters included Dr. Sophia Jordan, an impatient physician played by Alfre Woodward, and Dr. David Lee, a womanizer played by Daniel Henney.

The series featured a number of supportive roles as well. Included among these was Ryan Abbot, a transplant coordinator played by Christopher Hanke, and Pam Acosta, Dr. Yablonski’s best friend and eccentric operating assistant. Justina Machado played the role of Pam.
