When 3D film originally debuted nearly 60 years ago it was an automatic pop culture hit. Though the expense of producing 3D films was painfully high, they were met with huge success during the 1950′s. The trouble with 3D back then was that it was so expensive that most of a film’s budget was directed at the special effects, making 3D mostly just a gimmick to draw crowds to low quality movies. The cost of showing high quality films in 3D was more than most studios could swing. Since the industry wasn’t getting what it hoped for out of these films, they slowly faded into darkness.

Thirty years later the 3D film made a slow but constant comeback. By the time the 80s rolled around B-movies were a big hit and pop culture was once again intrigued by the third dimension. Though it was still quite expensive studios brought 3D back to life. That life was a still a pretty short one as the technology was eventually forgotten about and allowed to fade.

With a bit of time technology seems to improve tenfold, and this was the very case with 3D film. Additionally horror films, science fiction films, action films, even music video collections began cropping up every day in 3D format. This updated technology made its big debut in several children’s movies before soon showing up in various horror movies. After producers realized the kind of success a film like Avatar could bring about, 3D exploded. Instead of being fun anymore 3D became a method for immersing yourself into the film at it was a very well received method, indeed.

Though this type of film production has been around for over five decades, the science that goes into it has been expanding for over a hundred years. A savvy film maker of the 1890′s named William Friese-Greene first thought of a way to create this type of film experience. Movie players and video game consoles have been updated with 3D capabilities to be displayed on the various 3D TV sets now on the market. 3D televisions and ever developing technology promise to present even more fantastic illusions into the limelight soon.

The 3D trend seems to be here for good this time around with many major movies such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and Tron Legacy being played in 3D. As the trend continues, development of more and more improved ways of viewing and experiencing films will present themselves to the public eye.

If you like to be entertain watch 3d film or maybe Tron Legacy

Apparently the editors of this video think hating on Harley Davidson bike riders & telling domestic murder jokes is ok as far as the Christian image goes — alright, well, at least the rest of the DVD was pretty decent ;) ~

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie is possibly the most awaited movie of the year, as many children, teenagers, and adults are waiting for it to come out. This movie will come in two parts and that’s why you have to wait for the other part as well. This movie is also based on the novel written by J.K. Rowling, as all of the Harry Potter series are based on her novels having the same title.

Previously, Harry Potter movies were a craze among children, but as the story of the film is progressing, even adults are becoming interested in these movies. Harry Potter started as a small child in his first movie, but now he has grown up into a teenager, and his new adventures are highlighted in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. Just like the previous movies, this one is also an adventure movie, based on the concept of magic and fantasy.

Story runs around Voldemort, the harbinger of wicked forces, whose strength has largely increased. He may now control the Hogwarts as well as the Ministry of Magic, because he has once again risen to power. Our actors, Harry, Hermione and Ron join hands to fight him by completing the work of Dumbledore and to look for the remaining Horcruxes if they have to defeat Voldemort. But since the powers of the dark lord have become even stronger, they must plan everything well and act according to the decided strategy.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie is made to capture you throughout the play and you will be biting your nails in anticipation of the next shot. Since Harry potter fans are racing for getting tickets of this movie, so you should think of getting advance booking if you would like to go and watch this movie.

It is going to release soon, and you must be prepared to watch the heart thumping act of Harry against Voldemort. If you are finding out the answers of the questions, such as will Voldemort take over the ministry, or will Harry be able to defeat him, then you should watch this movie for getting the answers. Now, I can say that it is the most anticipated movie of the year and everyone will surely love it.

No Country for Old Men – In rural Texas, welder and hunter Llewelyn Moss discovers the remains of several drug runners who have all killed each other in an exchange gone violently wrong. Rather than report the discovery to the police, Moss decides to simply take the two million dollars present for himself. This puts the psychopathic killer, Anton Chigurh, on his trail as he dispassionately murders nearly every rival, bystander and even employer in his pursuit of his quarry and the money. As Moss desperately attempts to keep one step ahead, the blood from this hunt begins to flow behind him with relentlessly growing intensity as Chigurh closes in. Meanwhile, the laconic Sherrif Ed Tom Bell blithely oversees the investigation even as he struggles to face the sheer enormity of the crimes he is attempting to thwart.

A Londoni frfi – One night Maloin, a switch man at a seaside railway station situated by a ferry harbor, witnesses a terrible event. He is just watching the arrival of the last ferry at night from his control room on top of a high iron traverse from where he can see the whole bay. Suddenly he notices that the first of the disembarking passengers, a tall thin figure (a certain Brown as it will turn out later) leaves the harbor, but not on the usual route: after getting through customs, he goes around the dock and then withdraws into a dark corner, waiting. Opposite him, in front of the ship, another man soon appears and throws a suitcase towards the man on the shore. He goes and picks it up, then waits in an even darker corner for the other man to join him. When he arrives, however, they begin to quarrel and finally, in the course of the vehement fight, due to a hit that turns out to be fatal, the shorter one falls in the water and sinks, clutching the suitcase in his hand. Maloin is watching the scene, astonished. Finally, in a state of fear and shock, he opens the door of his control room, but the sharp and loud creaking sound disturbs and frightens away the murderer. Brown is forced to flee before being able to fish out the suitcase from the water. After the murderer disappears down one of the streets behind the harbor, Maloin cautiously climbs down from his cabin to the shore. When he realizes that there is nothing he can do for the victim, he dredges up the suitcase. He takes it up to his control room and opens it: it is packed with money. He is dazzled. He does not go either to call the police or fetch the murderer; he just stares at the pile of money. He simply cannot believe his eyes. Then, after meticulously drying and counting the banknotes, he hides the suitcase in his closet and locks it. At dawn, when his colleague arrives, he acts as if nothing had happened. He returns home on his usual route. Nevertheless, this path is not the same anymore.

Les chansons d’amour – Ismael (Louis Garrel, the Gallic version of the adorable young Hugh Grant), lives with Julie (Ludivine Sagnier). Alice (Clotilde Hesme), who works with Ismael, shares their bed and Alice’s affections. On a night of tragedy, Jeanne, unawares, hooks up with Gwendal (Yannick Renier), whose teen-aged brother Erwann (Gregoire Leprince-Ringuet) is the only one who can bring a shattered Ismael back to life, in the most romantic man-on-man love scene since Rupert Grave’s Alec Scudder climbed through Maurice’s bedroom window 20 years ago. With rain-slicked streets, coffee and cigarettes, references to a dozen French classics, a haunting score and the best balcony scene since “Romeo and Juliet,” this low-budget charmer, which has become a cult favorite in France with the under-25 set, is an “Umbrellas of Cherbourg” for the 21st Century.

Soom – This is the third film I have seen by Kim Ki-duk. Each one has been very different to the other, and I have loved them all. Address Unknown was bleak and emotionally challenging, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter… and Spring was beautifully poetic, while Breath is hard to describe. It has aspects of the earlier films – it’s visually poetic and bleak – but it’s very different to both most notably for its surreal/absurdist devices combined with very black humour (slightly reminiscent of some of the work of Ral Ruiz). Sparse dialogue makes for great intrigue as we attempt to make sense of the two main protagonists and what they have in common. One, a man on death row, the other a suburban mother who follows news of his exploits on the TV. To discuss how the story unfolds is to spoil the film if you haven’t watched it. However, the story is so elusive, that even with the details, much remains unexplained, adding to the mystique of the film. The prisoner does not speak during the film and the mother does not speak to her family; she is on screen for about twenty minutes before we hear a word uttered from her mouth.

Mogari no mori – The movie opened true to Kawase’s penchant for capturing moving air. Here, we see lush greenery on tree tops dancing to the motion of wind, and vast open fields where blades of grass sway back and forth when caressed by the breeze. It’s like watching a National Geographic episode of forests and greenery before the opening credits kicked in to start the film proper. I even suspected that M Night Shyamalan could have paid homage in his The Happening, which also had plenty of such shots put into it. The story tells of the relationship that formed between Shigeki (Shigeki Uda) and Machiko (Machiko Ono), the former an old man in an elderly home who has been aloof after the lost of his wife some 33 years ago. 33 years is an extremely long time, and to miss someone for that long, well, you know how strong his emotions are to his wife. On the other hand, Machiko is a staff at the same elderly home, but she too is grieving internally for the loss of her son, and her husband squarely puts the responsibility and blame on her petite shoulders.

Tehilim – Tehilim is a great film, no question about it. It is a minute of examination of the different ways in which characters react to a crisis. Though the film is small in scale it is nothing short of riveting. At the end you realize that, though the distance traveled is very small and enormous amount has happened. The lead actor, teen-aged Michael Moshonov, broods and lurks about the screen desperately searching for a focus for his anger at his vanished father. Truth seems to be Nadjari’s motivation and he focuses his lens on the minutia of his characters’ movements, revealing their inner struggles in a way reminiscent of Chekov. In a world overrun with films of artifice and manufactured drama it is so wonderful to discover a film that resists falsehoods and breathes truth.

Fish Tank – Mia, a foul-mouthed,stroppy fifteen-year-old, lives on an Essex estate with her tarty mother,Joanne, and precocious little sister Tyler. She has been excluded from school and is awaiting admission to a referrals unit and spends her days aimlessly. She begins to develop an uneasy friendship with Joanne’s handsome, extrovert Irish boyfriend,Connor, who encourages her one interest, dancing, and eventually they have sex, after which he disappears from all their lives. When Mia tracks him down she finds that he has not been wholly honest with them and decides to take revenge, which almost ends in disaster. However, she does find consolation with Billy, a young traveller, after making up with her family.

Antichrist – A couple lose their young son when he falls out the window while they have sex in the other room. The mother’s grief consigns her to hospital, but her therapist husband brings her home intent on treating her depression himself. To confront her fears they go to stay at their remote cabin in the woods, “Eden”, where something untold happened the previous summer. Told in four chapters with a prologue and epilogue, the film details acts of lustful cruelty as the man and woman unfold the darker side of nature outside and within.

Inglourious Basterds – During World War II, Lt. Aldo Raine leads his squad of Jewish-American soldiers behind enemy lines in Nazi occupied France. Their job is simple: kill the enemy. They also have a particularly violent approach to what they do scalping their victims. Soon they are known and feared throughout the German army. In Paris, Shosanna runs a cinema and through a chance meeting with a German war hero, is selected to host the premiere of one of Dr. Josef Goebbels propaganda film. With all of the German high command scheduled to attend – including Hitler, Goering and Martin Bormann – it seems like the ideal opportunity for Lt. Raine and his men to bring the war to a quick end. Shosanna, who is Jewish and whose parents and siblings were killed before her eyes, also has her own plans for the evening’s festivities. When she realizes that the man who killed her family Colonel Hans Landa, known as the Jew Hunter, will also be there it makes her own plans complete.

Bright Star – London 1818: a secret love affair begins between 23 year-old English poet, John Keats (Ben Whishaw), and the girl next door, Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish), an out-spoken student of high fashion. This unlikely pair begin at odds, he thinking her a stylish minx, while she was unimpressed not only by his poetry but also by literature in general. However, when Fanny heard that Keats was nursing his seriously ill younger brother, her efforts to help touched Keats and when she asked him to teach her about poetry he agreed. The poetry soon became a romantic remedy that worked not only to sort their differences, but also to fuel an impassioned love affair.

Chun feng chen zui de ye wan – I attended the North American Premiere of “Spring Fever” at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. A co-production of Hong Kong and France, director Ye Lou’s “Spring Fever” is quite a unique film about a gay love triangle. There’s very little dialogue, which is a device I normally relish, but here it just drags out the already minimal action. The film is shot with all hand-held and shaky camera style, using lots of extreme closeups. It might not have been that hard to handle except that the picture itself was very dark at times so it was often difficult to even see what was taking place. I don’t know if it was the source print, digital transfer, or projection, but it made for a very disappointing experience.

Vincere – The powerful new film from acclaimed auteur Marco Bellocchio (My Mothers Smile, Good Morning, Night, The Wedding Director), VINCERE is a compelling drama based on the littleknown story of Benito Mussolinis first wife. Ida Dalsar (Giovanno Mezzogiorno) and Mussolini (Filippo Timi) begin their liaison in 1914; she is a well-to-do beauty salon owner and he is an impoverished young Socialist and union activist. When Ida sells all her possessions to fund her lover’s new newspaper, the rise of Fascism is set into play An official selection of the Cannes, Toronto and Telluride Film Festivals, VINCERE is a gripping film that combines drama, archive footage, and music creating a highly cinematic oratorio of enormous emotional force.

When it comes to technology there are always improvements and the consumer electronics scene is the hottest especially when it comes to televisions. The latest technology to hit the market is LED Televisions. What LED stands for is light emitting diode and is composed of a varying number of LEDs which are used to light up an LCD panel. This is probably the easiest way to describe what LED televisions do. However there are many advantages to this technology which we will take a look at in a moment.

The name or term LED Televisions has been widely used by Samsung electronics even though the television is not entirely composed of LEDs and they are not responsible for making up the picture. The job of these LEDs is to produce brighter pictures by giving the LCD panel backlight support. This is how LED Televisions are able to produce such vivid pictures.

There is quite a difference in terms of picture quality and technology as compared to conventional LCD TV technology. One of the biggest differences from a consumer’s point of view is that it produces very bright images. The television also produces much deeper blacks as compared to any other type of television technology.

LED Televisions are also extremely slim owing to the edge-LED lighting technology. The current models you see on the market are around an inch think. They are also less power hungry when compared to conventional LCD televisions. Experts believe that they can save as much as 40% more electricity than conventional LCD televisions of a similar size.

LED Televisions can also provide for a much broader array of color gamut. This is especially true in areas where RGB backlighting is used.

LCD televisions use the conventional back light to light up the LCD panel. However on the other hand what LED Televisions use are an array of LED lights which are installed behind the LCD panel. The difference between edge technology and other technology is that is uses white LEDs which are placed around the sides of the panel and use special diffusion technology to light up the screen by spreading light behind the panel.

One of the biggest of the many benefits of having an LED backlight is that it offers a lower level of power consumption as well as very high brightness. When you compare it to conventional LCD lighting there are also color advantages. These are something which cannot be achieved with regular LCD technology. However one of the biggest barriers to wide usage of LED television is the cost of purchasing the unit. As time passes the prices are lowering though.

There are various consumer electronic businesses that produce different types of LED Televisions. Every business does its own special thing in order to improve picture quality and add a few more functions than its competitor. What you need to do as a consumer is to look for the best price to picture quality ratio. You also need to look at the functions and if you feel that the television works great and shows great pictures then you have a winner and you should purchase it.

Jed Young writes about full hd tv and led televisions

LED televisions produce stunning real life images and bring your favourite television programs to life. LED televisions are becoming more and more popular. The reason for this is that LED televisions provide ultra high picture quality and high definition resolutions. As is the case with new technology, LED televisions are quite expensive but the public has taken to this new breed making it a popular choice in the high street stores.

The use of LED’s was developed to enrich the color and to enhance the clarity of the viewing images. Once the technology was perfected and LED’s were introduced to large scale production of LED televisions, their popularity rocketed in a short space of time. The special feature of the LED is that it is able to direct light in one single path or direction. This feature is absent in most of the other incandescent and fluorescent lights.

Similar to the LED TV we also have LCD televisions. Both the LED and the LCD television function similar to one another, however the fundamental difference between them is that to light the televisions display, LEDs are used instead of the fluorescent lamps used in conventional LCD televisions. The LED television utilizes LEDs to light the display in one of two ways. Firstly when the LED are used in the edge of the television screen it is called an edge-lit LED television and if it is present behind the television then it is called a back-lit LED television.

Some adverts for LED Televisions have had to be adjusted so as not to mis-lead consumers into thinking that these new sets were so radically different to conventional LCD TVs. This is because LED TVs still utilize an LCD display which is lit using LEDs rather than fluorescent lamps, underneath they are still the same.

There is a great improvement in picture quality of an LED television when compared to older conventional LCD TVs. This is because of the advanced features incorporated in to the LED television. Also in addition, the screen sizes available ranges from 32 inches and above. The screen size compared with other televisions is quite big, but in contrast to the diagonal screen dimensions the thickness of the television has been greatly reduced when compared to previous televisions.

Purchasing LED TVs with their improved range of color and quality is reflected in the cost of the television. People are buying LED TVs in spite of its high cost only because of the intensity in the picture quality it gives them when watching an action film, BluRay discs or the latest games consoles. Another advantage of the LED television is that, it reduces the power consumption by almost 40 percent.

When you have a decision to make between LED, LCD and plasma televisions, LED televisions have to be a serious contender because of all the benefits that they have. The LED television has high definition picture quality, natural colours, high contrast levels all coupled with low power consumption ratings.

Samsung, Sony, LG and JVC all produce televisions which use LEDs in their designs. To judge the benefits and application of LEDs you need to view some of these TVs for yourself. Only then will you see if the price justifies the improved quality and designs.
