A dissertation is usually a long comprehensive paper written on a particular subject that many students submit for a Doctorate or Masters degree.  A dissertation is also called a thesis but the main idea here is that a student has become an expert in their particular field of study and is summing up their years of learning into one book-length document.  Ideally, the student has kept extensive notes and organized them accordingly as their studies progressed in order that this vital component of higher learning is more easily compiled for academic evaluation.  However, a student may find that they require outside assistance in completing this task and turn to professional writers for help with their dissertation.
