Simply put, Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors. There is no movie the guy has been in that I truly cannot stand, and there are only a handful of actors I can say that for. Not to mention the fact that Bruce Willis has done way more movies than most other actors in his age bracket.

So without further ado, here are my favorite Bruce Willis films of all time.

One film that I certainly have to mention is The Sixth Sense. I am not usually a fan of M. Night Shymalan movies, but his first major motion picture was a smash hit, both at the box office and from an audience standpoint. This film is awesome and Willis is a major part of the reason why.

Another fantastic Bruce Willis film is Hostage. This film ended up being much better than I thought it would be, and much darker as well. This is a high suspense film and Ben Foster also stars and plays a terrifying villain named Mars.

No list of Bruce Willis films would be complete without paying homage to The Last Boy Scout. This film helped set the precedent for action films of the 1990s. Tony Scott directed and Damon Wayans also stars in this one.

Of course, it goes without saying that a film from the Die Hard series should be mentioned in this list. My personal favorite was Die Hard 3 (With A Vengeance). Maybe it is because the action was the best in my opinion, but there is no wrong answer of the four movies.

One other film of Bruce Willis’ that I feel the need to mention is The Fifth Element. This is another one of my favorite science fiction movies of all time, and Willis does a seriously good job in the role of Korben Dallas.

These are just some of my favorite films from the prolific Bruce Willis, and I am sure there are many others which I may have forgotten.

Where to even get started on Joe Pesci. The man is one of the more mysterious actors around. This Newark, New Jersey native took an eight year hiatus from acting from the years of 1998 to 2006, only ro film one movie, then take another four year break. It would seem that Pesci is in a place in his life where he only does movies that he deems worthy.

The following films are what I consider to be the best Joe Pesci films of all time.

The first movie that I will discuss is one of the few sequels that Joe Pesci has starred in, and that film is none other than Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. While the original Home Alone is a true children’s classic, I enjoyed the sequel even more. Pesci was hilarious in both these movies.

I have to include Casino on this list. I absolutely loved Scorsese’s depiction of the Las Vegas underworld, and Pesci, Sharon Stone and Robert De Niro were all brilliant in this film.

One movie that is often paired with Goodfellas is Casino. Maybe it is because both films feature Joe Pesci in similar roles as well as Martin Scorsese behind the lens. In either case, both movies are incredible, and I feel like Casino gets a bad rap because it came out after Goodfellas.

Another exceptionally great movie starring Joe Pesci is My Cousin Vinny. This movie nabbed Marisa Tomei the 1993 Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. If you have never seen this movie, put it on the list.

One other fantastic Pesci film that is worthy of discussion is The Good Shepherd. For one reason or another, this movie never got the critical acclaim it deserved. Maybe it was because it was released on a smaller scale, but I certainly enjoyed this movie.

Hopefully there is at least one movie on this epic list of Joe Pesci films that you have yet to see.

One of the most iconic and likable actors in Hollywood today is Brad Pitt. It is not all too often that you meet someone who doesn’t like Brad Pitt. I mean, aside from the whole Jennifer Aniston fiasco, he seems like a really good guy. It also doesn’t hurt that most of his movies are well selected.

This article will discuss my favorite Brad Pitt movies of all time.

One movie that I certainly need to mention is Seven. This movie is as good as detective thrillers get. Pitt stars as a young detective working alongside an experienced veteran (played by Morgan Freeman), chasing after a mastermind serial killer. Not a film for the faint of heart.

One movie that has to be mentioned when discussing Brad Pitt films is Se7en. Pitt stars as up and coming detective David Mills on the hunt of a twisted yet brilliant serial killer who chooses his victims based on the seven deadly sins.

If you have yet to see Seven Years In Tibet, you are missing out big time. This is one of Brad Pitt’s earlier films, however it remains one of my favorites to this day. This movie is based on the incredible true story of an Austrian mountain climber who befriends the Dalai Lama during the takeover of Tibet by China.

Another awesome movie starring Brad Pitt was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. This movie received mixed reviews from audiences, but I loved it. Brad Pitt was very much deserving of the Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role which he received.

One other great movie starring Brad Pitt is Ocean’s Eleven. It is tough to have a bad movie when the cast is as stacked as this first installment in the Danny Ocean franchise. Other notables in this film include George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Casey Affleck.

If you are looking for some great movies featuring Brad Pitt, then this list is a great place to get started.

There is little argument that James Cameron is one of the greatest minds, if not the greatest, behind the lens in Hollywood today. It seems that every film Cameron comes out with is revolutionary in its own way. He is never afraid to break new barriers and try things that have never been tried before.

But which films of his are his best? This article will list and discuss my top five favorites.

The first movie I will mention is one of his earliest works, and that of course, is Aliens. Who would have thought that Cameron would be able to rival, if not exceed, the brilliant job that Ridley Scott did with the first Alien film.

Another awesome film brought to us from the mind of James Cameron was True Lies. If you are looking for an incredible 1990s action film, then look no further. This movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis is as good as it gets.

While I am not the biggest fan of romantic films, Titanic was on another level. There is no doubt that James Cameron hit a grand slam with this movie, which is clearly indicated by its pretty much unrivaled box office success.

Avatar obviously makes the cut for any true James Cameron film. I had the privilege of going to the filming of Inside The Actor’s Studio with James Cameron, and it was amazing to hear everything he had to say about this movie. Sounds like the second installment will focus more on the underwater life of Pandora.

One movie that certainly must be mentioned on a James Cameron list is the second installment of the Terminator. Terminator 2: Judgment Day shows a new and improved Terminator going back in time to kill John Connor, the future leader of the resistance. Only Arnold can save him.

Hopefully there is one or more films from the brilliant James Cameron on this list that you have yet to see.

There are few actors in this day and age that have as impressive a resume as the great Denzel Washington. There is a lot to like about this incredibly talented actor, and it certainly goes beyond his charm. Denzel manages to play a number of different types of roles, and at this point in time, seems to have the pick of the litter when it comes to choosing his scripts.

This article will highlight some of Denzel Washington’s best roles throughout his career.

Probably Denzel’s most historically significant role was in the film Glory, in which he played a volunteer soldier in the Union Army. This Civil War film is a must see for anyone looking to learn more about the time period.

Another fantastic film starring Denzel Washington is Philadelphia, a movie about a gay defendant who hires a homophobic lawyer, played by none other than Denzel. This movie also stars Tom Hanks.

While it certainly did not receive critical acclaim, one movie that I thoroughly enjoyed was The Bone Collector. Mr. Washington plays a detective in this movie chasing after a gruesome serial killer, who (as the title would suggest) collects bones from his victims.

In Man On Fire, Denzel Washington stars as John W. Creasy, a bodyguard for an American girl who goes on an absolute tear through the underworld of Mexico when she gets kidnapped. Loosely based on a true story, this film also stars the incredibly talented Dakota Fanning and is directed by long time Denzel Washington collaborator Tony Scott.

If you have not seen Remember The Titans yet, it should be high up on your list. If you are a fan of sports films, there is no excuse not to see this one.

Hopefully there are one or more films on this list which you have yet to see.

Whether or not you like the guy, it is tough to deny that Tom Cruise is a worldwide superstar. Cruise has been in the Hollywood spotlight for almost 30 years, and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Sure, he’s had his share of duds over the years, but he has also starred in some amazing films.

But which films have been his best? The following movies are my favorites starring or featuring Tom Cruise.

One movie that certainly makes the list of Tom Cruise movies for me is Risky Business. This is one of the iconic high school films of the 1980s, even if doesn’t take place within the school, per se.

Jerry Maguire was arguably the greatest role of Tom Cruise’s career. It was probably as close as he will ever get to winning an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and had it been released in a less competitive year, he very well may have won.

One film which I feel deserves to be mentioned is A Few Good Men. One interesting fact about this crime thriller is that writer Aaron Sorkin wrote the whole screenplay on napkins while he was working at a theater as a low level employee. Suffice it to say that this film was his big break.

Another great Tom Cruise film is Vanilla Sky. This movie just makes me happy. In my opinion, it is director Cameron Crowe’s best film to date. Penelope Cruz shines, while Cameron Diaz and Jason Lee deliver great supporting roles.

Of course, one movie that must be mentioned on this list is Rain Main. This is an absolutely incredible film, and Dustin Hoffman delivers the role of his career. It was no surprise that this movie won the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year.

These are just some of the greatest Tom Cruise movies, but there are surely others which I have failed to mention. If you have not seen any movies on this list, then you have some work to do, as they are all worthy of seeing.

It is always interesting to come across an actor who, while extremely talented, takes a while to work his way up to widespread acclaim. One such actor is Philip Seymour Hoffman. For about 20 years, Hoffman has appeared in many movies but hasn’t necessarily starred in them. I guess you can say he has had his big break, and now has the freedom to choose whichever roles he wants.

This article will list some of the greatest movies that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been in.

As far as recent movies go, Pirate Radio was one film that I highly enjoyed. This movie is based on the true story of rogue radio DJs who wanted the right to play uncensored music, so they headed to the seas. Hoffman stars as the ringmaster in this film.

Another great film featuring the great Philip Seymour Hoffman is Twister. Again, this is not a leading role for Hoffman, but you cannot deny that he knows how to choose a role and does not simply jump at the gun to act in any movie. I haven’t seen this movie in quite some time, but I still remember how amazing the special effects looked in theaters.

If you have yet to see Doubt, then you are missing out on some amazing acting. Any time you put Meryl Streep and Philip Hoffman together the result is going to be great. It came as no surprise that both of them were nominated for Academy Awards for this film.

Philip Seymour Hoffman doesn’t always feel the need to play the lead role in a film and that is most apparent to me as his role of Brandt in The Big Lebowski. He may not have been the star of this movie, but there is no doubt he helped to contribute to its greatness.

While I did not love Capote as a film, you have to give credit where credit is due. Philip Seymour Hoffman knocked it out of the park with his portrayal of the lead character and it came as no surprise when he won best actor at the Academy Awards.

Hopefully there are one or more Philip Seymour Hoffman films on this list which you have not yet seen. Get familiar with this incredible actor, because he will be around for years to come.

One of my favorite actors of all time is, without a doubt, Al Pacino. Maybe it’s the fact that people tell me I look like him, or maybe it’s the fact that he’s one of the most talented actors ever, but whatever the reason (it’s the latter), he is at the top of my list and I always feel the need to see his new films.

Here are what I consider to be Al Pacino’s best movies of all time.

Whether you choose The Godfather Part 1 or The Godfather Part 2 is completely your call, but one of these two films has to be on any list of Al Pacino’s best movies. My personal preference is The Godfather Part 2, but to each his own. If you choose number 3, you should watch the first two again.

A more recent film of his that I feel the need to mention is Any Given Sunday. Now I am not the biggest Oliver Stone fan, but I found his depiction of professional football to be very entertaining. Pacino’s “Peace With Inches” speech has become one of the more famous monologues in recent memory.

Another movie that I felt the need to include on this list is Heat. When you put Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Michael Mann behind the camera, you are going to get an amazing movie. Sprinkle in Val Kilmer at his prime and you simply have one of the better movies of the 1990s.

Another great film in which Al Pacino stars is the 1997 crime drama Donnie Brasco. This film also stars a young Johnny Depp as an FBI agent who infiltrates the mob, run by a very ruthless Al Pacino.

Finally, a movie that often goes over looked when talking about Al Pacino films is The Insider. I am not quite sure why, as this movie is as suspenseful as any. I believe it was nominated for best picture, and is a great Michael Mann/Pacino collaboration.

These are just some of the many films of Al Pacino that I felt the need to mention. There certainly are others, which may call for a folllowup article.

It’s a shame how much free time Jack Nicholson has on his hands these days. The guy is without a doubt one of the most accomplished actors of all time, and instead of continuing to churn out classics, he waits for the perfect movie before pouncing on it. In the meantime, you can catch him in the front row at the Staples Center.

This article will highlight my top five favorite Jack Nicholson films of all time.

If you have yet to see The Departed, you are missing out. Few films that have come out in recent years have touched the brilliance that The Departed delivered. It came as little surprise to most when this movie won the Oscar for Best Picture of The Year.

In the 1975 cult classic One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Jack Nicholson stars as R.P. McMurphy. It came as no surprise that he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for this iconic role.

Another classic Jack Nicholson film is of course, The Shining. I don’t think audiences realized how scary Jack could be prior to this Stanley Kubrick iconic horror film. If you are a fan of a genre, this is one of the most important films to see.

I normally do not care for romantic comedies, but Terms Of Endearment, which was released in 1983, was a very enjoyable film to watch. And this is coming from a guy who does not care for the genre normally. This movie also stars Danny DeVito, Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger.

As Good As It Gets, is close to as good as it gets when discussing Jack Nicholson films. This movie also starred Helen Hunt and Cuba Gooding Jr at the peak of their respective careers. Jack plays the role of Melvin Udall to a tee.

These are just some of the notable films that Nicholson has starred in over the years, and surely there are others.

If you want to talk about prolific actors who continue to churn out movies year after year, Nicholas Cage has to be at the top of the list. Sure, the guy has found himself in financial difficulties, which may help to explain his current splurge of roles in a new movie almost every two months, but the guy can act and remains one of my favorite actors.

This article will highlight some of my favorite Nicholas Cage films of all time.

I will start out by discussing Lord Of War, a film in which Nicholas Cage plays Yuri Orlov, a Jewish arms dealer that rises from nothing to become a lead supplier of guns in the African wars. Jared Leto also stars in this film and plays a very convincing druggie.

Plain and simple there would not be a Fast And Furious franchise without its predecessor, Gone In 60 Seconds. Nicholas Cage was the man in this high speed action film (no pun intended). Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michele Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster all owe whatever careers they have to Nicholas Cage and crew for this one.

Another movie of this great actor that I feel the need to mention is Matchstick Men. In this film Nicholas Cage plays a con artist who unexpectedly gets the surprise that he has a teenage daughter, whom he has to take under his wing.

Face Off is another movie that I certainly have to mention. Directed by John Woo, this movie stars Travolta and Cage as a cop and villain respectively, but then both undergo a series of operations to switch identities. Great action and fight scenes ensue.

On the softer side of things, one film of his that I really enjoyed was It Could Happen To You. I normally am not a fan of romantic dramas, but this film felt real and was a feel good movie. This one definitely has my seal of approval.

Finally, one other movie that most people didn’t care for, but I will mention is Windtalkers. I thought this one was good, but for whatever reason I am in the minority.
