Airing between September 22nd 1994, and May 6th 2004, the Friends TV show became a cult classic. When the show was at it’s peak during the ten years it aired on TV, it attracted more than fifty million viewers. By this time ten complete seasons had been edited, and the show had screened two-hundred and thirty-six episodes.

The final episode of Friends attracted the most viewers of any episode over its ten year period, confirming the episode as the fourth most watched finale on television. Even today the show is still reported to be one of the top ranking sitcoms in history, remaining in the top television rankings for a week after the final episode went to air.

The Friends show highlighted the lifestyles of a group of friends who lived in Manhattan. Each episode was filmed at the Warner Brothers Studio, in front of an appreciative live audience. Having received no less than sixty-three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, the show made history yet again. By the end of the series, a spin off show called “Joey” had been created.

If you were not fortunate enough to have seen the show as a sitcom, it used to air every Thursday. Friends was able to captivate its audience with laughter, sadness, and this meant that people would relive the previous nights show the following day, with their own friends, and work colleagues.

Typically with any sitcom, there were characters, six in total, who you would fall in love with, and sometimes hate. The two girls, Monica Geller, and Rachel Green were the best of friends. These two characters were played by Jennifer Aniston, and Courtney Cox. Rachel was a skilled enthusiast of fashion, whilst Monica earned her reputation as the Mother hen to all of the friends. The third of the girls in the show was Phoebe Buffay who was played by Lisa Kudrow. She was not only a masseuse, but a very eccentric self taught musician.

David Schwimmer played the part of Ross Geller, Monica’s loving and protective brother. Ross was a palaeontologist working at the museum. Matt Le Blanc played the fifth character as Joey, a self professed womanizer, with loads of charm. Last but not at all least, was the character of Chandler Bing, a part played by Matthew Perry. He eventually married Monica in the 3rd last season.

Even today, seven years later, the show is still watched around the world as reruns, and it is also available on DVD, so those who were hooked by the show can watch all of their favorite moments whenever they want to. This show created a very large cultural impact. For a start, many different coffee houses around the globe have been inspired by the Central Perk Coffee House.

The Friends tv show has been a massive success for over 10 years. Even today the Friends series on DVD is still a massive seller online.

What is going on with the family Guy Stewie character? He is smarter than the average thirty year old, never mind the average baby. This program has left more than a few questions are answered, not to mention creating some controversy.

Still, he is one year old going on thirty five. But what’s with the accent? Stewie sounds more like he comes from London than his Rhode Island home. This is just too funny. This is like a person growing up in Paris, and somehow acquiring a Bronx New York accent. Another thing, why is it that Brian can understand him. But no one else seems to be able to?

Why is Stewie intent on killing Lois? Why does he really hate her so much? In fact does he really hate her at all? We have probably all seen the episodes that suggest that he does not. In fact, perhaps he is desperately in need of her love. It seems that the story line has suggested this on at least several occasions.

How does Family Guy Brian, the dog, travel freely just about everywhere that he wants to go? It seems that Brian has an easier time passing through airport security than Ted Kennedy did, and he does this alone, or worse, with Stewie in tow. Let’s not even consider how he continues to find human girlfriends… All of this while still occasionally peeing on fire hydrants and dragging himself across carpets.

While on the subject of Brian, do dogs really drink so much? This may explain how he happened to meet Peter downtown, while spit washing his windshield. Perhaps this is why so many dogs find themselves in the shelters looking for homes. Maybe all they really need is a bit of time to dry out, a warm meal, and a job to go to. This all kind of makes Snoopy look like a reasonable character.

How about poor Meg? Why does everyone hate her so much? Seriously, in real life Peter and Lois would have had their children taken away by children’s services many times over. That is of course assuming that they would not have already run away. Peter acts as the stripper at Meg’s batchelorette party? Eww, if that is not the grossest thing ever, even for a cartoon, yuck!

As much of a buffoon as Family Guy Peter is, people can not help but continuing to root for him. He is sort of the underdog though, so this sort of makes sense. However, Peter is not all bad. After all he did save all of the Quahog bomb survivors by finding the Natick Twinkie factory…

Satire? Sarcasm? Closer to life than some may like to admit? I guess we will all have to judge for ourselves. Either way, Family Guy is a pretty popular show, and pretty amusing… Giggity!

Mr O Connell is is an huge fan of family guy Brian. Family guy peter is the main character in the hit show.

If you asked a movie fan to name some of the best actors in comedy over the last 20 years, one of the first that comes to mind for most will be Jim Carrey. The famous actor rakes in tens of millions of dollars per move, and it’s simply because of the fact that people love him.

At the end of the day, determining which Jim Carrey movie was his best is a difficult task. With so many great movies in his arsenal, it’s hard to narrow it down to one.

There are some Carrey lovers who may point to his earliest movies, claiming that Ace Ventura and The Mask were his best.

Both of these involved over the top comedic acting, and Carrey shined in the roles.

Other movie fans may point to Dumb and Dumber, the Farrelly Brothers production that many might call one of the funniest movies of their lifetime. Carrey teamed up with Jeff Daniels in a classic movie that had people repeating its lines for years. In fact, people still do this present day.

A few years later, The Cable Guy came out, and many had mixed opinions about this. Still, there are some who swear that The Cable Guy was Carrey’s best and funniest performance. Others prefer his work in Me, Myself, and Irene, another Carrey movie that many believe to be underrated.

Carrey spent some time focusing on roles that showcased his ability to do well as a serious actor in dramatic movies too. Movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show are both serious movies with dramatic themes. Carrey took to these roles extremely well.

Regardless of which Carrey movie stands out in your mind, one thing is for sure. He’s been one of the best movie stars of this generation and a pleasure to watch on the big screen.
