A hilarious comedy show has come up on ABC Network called “MY Wife and Kids”. This comedy show is actually a family drama of an African American upper middle class family living in Stamford. A compact patriarch family with affectionate characters, strong moral values and positive messages are the key features of the show. Comedy is the backbone of the series. Well known actor Damon Wayans plays a caring husband and a responsible father of 3 children in the name of Michael Kyle. Michael is always trying hard to inculcate practical knowledge into his children according to his own way of understanding the world.

The family resides in Stamford. It is a rich family where the head of the family Michael Kyle is the owner of a truck company. Michael’s wife Jay is a lawyer. They have two daughters and one son. The story tells that their son Jr. and his girlfriend Vanessa live with the family and currently Vanessa has given birth to a baby boy. Damon’s elder daughter Claire studies in high school and she is a senior there. The younger daughter of Jay and Damon is a pretty baby girl called Kady. The bondage among the family members is worthy to follow.

As the story continues the family goes through many phases in life. The family members have to face different undulations in the path of life. But all their problems and how they overcome them are not shown in a harsh way, on the contrary each problem itself and each solution itself bring lot of fun and comic relief to the audience. The father is always alert and ready to speak with his children about the rights and wrongs of life. Michael offers his wife a job in his company when she is laid off from her stockbroking job. To resume her career Jay starts her studies again and plans to go for restaurant business. The most confused character among all is Jr. who seems to be a bit nervous with his present status as the father of a new born baby. Here again Michael stands beside his son and supports him in every possible way, but he is doubtful about his son’s maturity level. Claire has an overprotective father. Michael remains so tensed about his grown up daughter that he doesn’t even want to let her daughter go on dating. Finally he is satisfied when Claire maturely makes her father understand that wherever she goes and whoever she marries she will remain her father’s little daughter forever. Little Kady has the funniest problem of all. This girl thinks that all the attention of the family members have gone to the baby boy of Jr. and Vanessa. The whole family convinces her that she will always be their dear one.

The viewers love My Wife and Kids as it gives the message of high family value and positive approach towards life with a fine blend of hilarious comedy.

The casting goes like this – Damon Wayans is the father. Jay the mother is played by Tisha Campbell, George Gore III acts as the son Jr. the role of Claire is portrayed by Jennifer Freeman and the baby girl of the family is characterized by cute Parker Posey.

ABC’s effort in making a good comedy series is really paying off as the audience is already in love with the show.
